On the red carpet at the AMA’s last night, the rarely seen J. Cole chatted with Billboard about his forthcoming sophomore album, Born Sinner, and the song he just released, “Miss America.” He also revealed he’s begun production on a short film. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 11/5/12 … Congrats To @MeekMill On A #2 Debut!

Despite the fact Hurricane Sandy tore through the east coast the night before his album release day, cancelling many of his scheduled appearances and preventing people in his hometown and surrounding areas (where he’d likely get the strongest support) from going out to the stores and purchasing the album, Meek Mill still had a very strong debut on the charts with his first album. Dreams & Nightmares comes in at number 2 (damn you, Taylor Swift!) with a solid 165k units sold! Congrats! Get the rest of the top 10 below. Marisa Mendez

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 10/29/12 … Congrats To @KendrickLamar On A #2 Debut!

Kendrick Lamar truly solidified his position in the game this week, moving over 240k units of his debut album ‘good kid, m.A.A.d City’ in its first week in stores. The Dr. Dre protege had some major cosigns in his corner, but it’s safe to say no amount of cosigns will take you THAT far. The kid has m.A.A.d. fans. Now of course he’s not even holding a torch to Taylor Swift’s number one debut Red this week, moving 1.2 MILLION units….but there is something to say about it being available for 99 cents on Amazon. No doubt she’d still be number one without that sale, but I’m just saying! Get the rest of the top 10 below. Marisa Mendez
