Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 7/21/13 … Jay Z Tops The Charts Once Again, J. Cole Goes Gold, & Ace Hood Debuts In Top 5!

It’s a big week for Roc Nation! Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail topped charts once again this week, moving another 129k copies in its second week in stores. Meanwhile, J. Cole, though he’s in his lowest position on the charts at number 7 this week, has officially been certified gold with Born Sinner‘s latest 39k copies sold tipping it over the 500k mark. Congrats also go out to Ace Hood, who debuted at number 4 with his new album, Trials & Tribulations. Get the full top 10 below.


Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 7/14/13 … Jay-Z Tops The Charts!

As expected, Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail topped charts this week, moving 527k copies in its first week. Ciara is due for congratulations as well, however, as the sexy songstress debuted with her self-titled project at number 2, moving 58k. Get the rest of the top 10 below.

After already going platinum with the new RIAA rules for his album Magna Carta Holy Grail on 1 million Samsung phones, Jay is about to kill it even more. The project officially hit stores yesterday, and industry forecasts predict it will move around 450-500k units this week! That’s a gold plaque in itself! We’ll know the official numbers a week from today.


Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 7/7/13 … J. Cole Shoots Up To Number 1!

This is a really major move for J. Cole. After 2 weeks on the charts at number two, his sophomore album Born Sinner shot up to the top spot, giving the Roc Nation rapper his second number one album with 58k units sold this week! Not only that, but in total, he’s officially surpassed Yeezus sales. Crazy, right? Congrats! Get the full top 10 below.


Whoa, This Could Be HUGE For J. Cole!

J. Cole’s sophomore album Born Sinner debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts its first week out, and held the position in its second week as well, moving in front of the album that had bested him the week before, Yeezus. Week 3 may be his best yet, however, as Billboard reports that Born Sinner may be shifting to number 1! It’s looking to move around 60k copies, but we’ll know for sure on Wednesday. That’ll be dope!
