To celebrate the life of one of the greatest rappers to ever do it, Hot 97’s Nessa sat down with his former wife Faith Evans on the 18th anniversary of Biggie’s passing yesterday. Faith discussed squashing the beef with Kim and the photo she posted of them together last month at Hot 97’s All-Star Weekend concert, a collaborative album that could have been, a crazy story of having sex with Big on a roller coaster in Busch Gardens and more. In this super dope and rare video I found online, it shows legendary Queensbridge emcee Nas and the late great Biggie Smalls freestyling together on stage circa 1995 at Miss Jones’ birthday party. Nas was spitting a verse that would eventually become the second verse off “Suspect” from his It Was Written album and Biggie’s rhymes were eventually the second verse from “Oh My Lord” off Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s Conspiracy. Funk Flex Teams With Simon & Schuster and Karen Hunter To Release Book About The Notorious B.I.G.

Legendary DJ Funk Flex has teamed with publishing giant Simon & Schuster and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Karen Hunter to release a book of untold stories about the late Notorious B.I.G. An instrumental part of Biggie’s early success, Funk Flex actually gave Biggie his very first major interview on Hot 97 back in June of 1994, which you can listen to here. “The song “Who Shot Ya” was originally an intro for Mary J. Blige’s album,” Flex reveals in an excerpt from the book. “Uptown/MCA said it was too hard. The song in its original form had a verse from Big, Keith Murray and LL Cool J, though LL never did his verse. The song still exists!” In another excerpt, Flex reveals how Biggie and Nas met, per Lil Cease:
