Big Sean is joining the likes of Meek Mill and doing his part to help out the people of Flint, Michigan who are suffering from the current toxic water crisis. In addition to donating $10,000, the Detroit rapper has started a fundraiser, #HealFlintKids which will help families with children that have been exposed to toxic water. Read more below.

Big Sean had quite the year in 2015, releasing the most successful album of his career to date, receiving a Grammy nomination, touring the world, having an epic concert in his hometown, breaking records and more. Following the release of his Pharrell-assisted song “What A Year,” the G.O.O.D. Music rapper keeps the title going with a vlog of the same name. In the nearly 7-minute clip, we get a look into the whirlwind 365 days Sean had, with guest appearances from some of his famous friends like Kanye West, Eminem, Drake and more. Despite having his home invaded by thieves while on a trip to Dubai, Big Sean tried to look on the bright side of things when reflecting on the past year. The robbers managed to get away with about $150,000 worth of jewelry and hard drive and apparently left a note with directions on how the rapper could get his things back. Wednesday (December 30th), Big Sean chose to send a message of his own to thieves in the form of the cover art for his new song, “What A Year,” featuring Pharrell and Detail. The cover art featured a message saying, “To whom it may concern 2015 was the best year of my life. We counted a lot more wins than losses… and to me that’s worth more than damn near anything. BTW you took the wrong hard drive.” Well it now appears that one of the thieves got Big Sean’s message loud and clear and he clapped back on Instagram. Hit the jump for more.

While Big Sean was in Dubai earlier this month, thieves broke into his Los Angeles home, and stole about $150,000 worth of jewelry, as well as some of his unreleased music on a hard drive. The items were stowed away in a mini-vault, and police say the entire heist was well-planned and they’d made “a beeline” toward it immediately upon entering, so it seems as though this was an inside job. However, Sean isn’t tripping. Yesterday afternoon, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper released his last song of 2015, “What A Year,” featuring Pharrell and Detail. As it was reported that the thieves had left a note for Sean after their heist that consisted of an email address for him to contact if he wants his stuff back, he had a note right back for them in the song’s cover art!
