Pau Gasol was benched for the fourth time in the fourth quarter since Mike D’Antoni took over as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. NBA: Mike D’Antoni & Pau Gasol Criticize Each Other After the Lakers Loss to the Grizzlies
The addition of coach Mike D’Antoni has already begun to produce some issues for the Los Angeles Lakers. Big men Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol have seen their production take a nose dive. Gasol’s conditioning has also been questioned as to whether or not he can keep up with D’Antoni’s fast paced offense. Gasol’s feels he’s not getting the right looks and they just seem to be at odds. NFL: Kansas City Chiefs’ Coach Romeo Crennel Says He’ll Bench Players for Turnovers
Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel is not going to tolerate turnovers any longer. The Chiefs’ 29 turnovers (14 interceptions, 15 fumbles) are 10 more than any other team in the league, and Crennel said the first player to turn it over on Monday night at Pittsburgh likely will get a seat on the bench.
