photo credit How many times have we heard the same story about someone becoming a famous athlete, singer, actor or whatever, only to have claims from their family and friends that they changed and forgot who they really were. Unfortunately its a tale that happens quite often and you never really know what the truth is or not. Did the person really change after they got some fame? Or do family members just feel scorned and left behind even if that’s not really the case? Ben Simmons is currently dealing with that type of issue after his sister went off on a twitter rant about how he turned his back on everyone who helped get him to where he is today.
The Philadelphia 76ers franchise just can’t catch a break. Their first round picks almost ALWAYS win up hurt and Ben Simmons is no exception. The first player taken in the draft back in June, Simmons will now miss anywhere from 6-8 weeks after fracturing a bone in his right foot.
LeBron James and members of the Cleveland Cavaliers got together for a workout. James was also joined by his brotherhood member Dwyane Wade, and the 2016 No. 1 overall draft pick, Ben Simmons.
After seeing the 2016 No. 1 draft up close and personal, Chicago Bulls’ rookie Denzel Valentine gave Ben Simmons a pretty big comparison.
The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t had much luck with rookies and their injuries; most notably is Joel Embiid who missed his first two years in the league with a foot injury. While Embiid is ruled out for summer league, 2016 No. 1 draft pick Ben Simmons made his debut, unfortunately it wasn’t a great one.
