Kanye West “Stole” Old Dirty Bastard’s Act? Kanye West is Notorious for well, being Kanye West. His most recent stunt was running on stage when Beck received his award. He recently apologized for his actions. But in the same breath said his actions generated more awareness for Beck. Note to self Kanye ( that’s not a real apology). He also has made up with Taylor Swift and the two have sat down and had lunch. Kanye is over the top but he isn’t doing anything new. Old Dirt Bastard did it years ago. Check out the clip after the jump.
Even though Beck was pretty cool with the on-stage rush and also thought Beyonce would beat him out for Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammys, a number of artists continue to come at Yeezy’s neck. Unfortunately the legend and 5-time Grammy Winner Michael McDonald Says Kanye West Doesn’t Make “Valid Music” in a bash-like post award commentary, and while he may have some “valid” points–is the whole “Hip Hop isn’t real music” card a weak play?
Just about everyone has something to say about Kanye West storming the stage while Beck accepted his Album of the Year award over Beyonce, including New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner. The Super Bowl champ had some real strong words for Kanye.
If it has not been established thus far, Beyonce has one of the most loyal and “Ride or Die” fan-bases EVER in the world. After she lost out to Beck at the Grammys for the ‘Album of The Year” category, the BeyHive went ape sh*t crazy. Not only did they start a petition and even make T-shirts saying “Who Is Beck” to boycott the Grammys decision, but they even went as far as trashing Beck’s album reviews on iTunes. We know that Beyonce fans take Bey’s work very serious, but this might be a tad bit too much. Check out some of the mean reviews angry BeyHive members left on iTunes for yourself in the gallery. What have you started, Kanye, what have you started?!
