Auto:(Photos) Damn!! $1 Million For The New Corvette Convertible?

A few months ago the new Corvette Stingray (aka C7) finally dropped and sent car lovers into a frenzy. The Corvette is one of those classic cars that transends all era’s of time. When the first new Stingray that came off the production line sold for over $1 million, you knew eventually when they made the convertible verison, it would bring around the same. And it was right on point. At the Barrett-Jackson auction this past weekend, the highest bid went for $1.05 million for roofless beast. It seems like quite alot for a Corvette, but since they are literally the first ones off the production line, years from now they will be worth much more than the $1 million dollar price tag. It is crazy when you realize he paid more for a Corvette than a Ferrari, Porsche & Lamborghini combined. Check out the pics after the jump.

Auto:(Video, Photos) First 2014 Corvette Stingray Sold For $1.1 Million

It ain’t worth $1.1 million yet, but someday it could be. The big hoopla that was surrounding the new Chevy Corvette Stingray has finally calmed down a little bit now that it has officially been released. But it started back up again this past weekend in Arizona at the Barrett-Jackson auction. The first 2014 Stingray, vin#001, was auctioned off for a crazy $1.1 million dollars. Years from now as the car becomes vintage and a collectible, it will probably wind up being worth even more. It isn’t often that the Corvette gets radical changes the way it did with this model, so best believe this car will be worth a ton in the future. Check out the gallery and video from the auction. Auto:(Video) What Would You Pay To Own A President’s Truck?

It is amazing what can happen to the value of a car just because of who owned it at one point. President George W. Bush gave up his 2009 Ford F-150 truck for charity to be auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson auction that took place this past weekend. It is a pretty much basic F-150, except for the fact President Bush owned it. Jay Leno tried his best to raise the price up, but it wound up going for $300,000! Pretty expensive at the end of the day for a Ford truck, but I definitely understand the collectible value of it. Watch the video of the auction below to get a better look at the truck, which is very nice by the way. IamJOE357

Auto:(Photos) Original “Batmobile” Sells For How Much?? Daaaammmnn

Holy bank account Batman!! The original Batmobile from the 1960’s was sold this weekend at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizona for a crazy $4.6 MILLION!! The final price was $4.2 million, add in the commissions from the sale and it brings it up to the $4.6 number. The guy who bought it owns a logistics company which I guess I can safely say does very well. The reserve price during the auction was $2.5 million, which means the previous owner seriously hit the jackpot at the auction. The new owner will have to provide his own sound effects. Kick! Punch! Blam! Check the gallery for pics of the famous ride. IamJOE357

Auto Talk: Devon GTX up for auction at Barrett-Jackson

The demise of the Dodge Viper in 2010 was sad enough on its own. But as if to twist the knife in the wound, the end of the Viper also meant the end of the Devon GTX. Funk Flex
