Looks like Columbus Short got off easy after pleading no contest for knocking a man unconscious in a bar fight. The former Scandal actor was facing four years behind bars until the judge gave him three years probation instead. The fight left the victim with a concussion and fractured eye socket. However, Short’s lawyer believes he will be able to move passed the incident. Short’s attorney, Ludlow B. Creary II said, “Mr. Short can put this behind him and get on with his life and his career.” “We came to an agreement with the prosecutor and the court.” In order to help him “get on with his life and his career” Short was ordered to “60 days of community labor and ordered to complete 26 anger management classes” as well as paying restitution to the victim.
Former Scandal Actor, Columbus Short stopped by Atlanta’s V-103 radio station for a sit-down. Of course he was asked about the infamous bar situation which led to him knocking someone out. Check out what Short had to say when he was asked about the bar fight back in March, after he explained “I had to defend my wife at a bar. This man was being highly, highly disrespectful … slapping her in the face with $20 bills,” after the jump.
Fox News Corresponder Gregg Jarrett seems to have partied a bit too hard, after he was arrested during a drunken incident at a bar in the Minneapolis St-Paul airport! The anchormen was set free on a bail of $300, and Fox News has responded to his actions by stating that “He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time”.
“Scandal” star Columbus Short recently beat a dude into the hospital after a bar fight broke out at an engagement party in Cali, leaving the man with some really serious injuries to the back and head. However, the alleged victim refuses to press charges against Short due to “family ties.” The two want to settle things as peacefully as possible, leaving the law out of it, according to sources. What will most likely end up happening is Short will pick up the tab for all of the victim’s medical expenses (and probably throw him a little more for the inconvenience.) He’s lucky because if it was up to the courts, he’d most likely be screwed. Peep a flick from the crime scene after ol’ boy got beat up in the gallery. SMH!
