In response to some anti-Scientology articles Tom Cruise has put some top media outlets on the opposite end of that velvet rope for the premier of Oblivion, the new Cruise action film. US Weekly, Life & Style, In Touch and The Hollywood Reporter are all excluded from the festivities for various anti-Scientology and anti-Cruise articles. The Hollywood Reporter is in extra deep as they’ve published over 20 anti-Scientology pieces in the past year, and Cruise is suing the publisher of Life & Style and In Touch for 50 Million dollars in a defamation case stemming from articles published claiming Cruise abandoned his daughter with Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise. Facebook has apologized to a mother for banning her from its site after she posted pictures of her breastfeeding. Kristy Kemp has a breastfeeding support group ,Breastfeeding Mama Talk, that has about 5,000 likes on the page. Several of her pictures on the page were removed with her later being blocked. Facebook’s nudity policy states that “family photos of child breastfeeding” are allowed, but images where a breast is fully exposed and the child isn’t actively nursing are not. Tasha
The lyrics in a new Rick Ross verse have been the topic of many a Twitter conversation as of late, as it’s quite appalling what he’s attempting to glorify in song. “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it,” he raps on Rocko’s “You Don’t Even Know” featuring himself and Future. “I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” Basically, he drugged her up and then had sex with her while she was unaware of her surroundings. Insane! A Detroit radio station is now taking a stance, deciding to ban both his music and Lil Wayne’s for their violent and disturbing lyrics. Of the latter, he made a reference to the tragic story of Emmitt Til on Future’s “Karate Chop,” likening his brutal beating to sex. Check out the statement WUVS-LP The Beat made on their stance below. I think it’s amazing what they’re doing! I love both Wayne and Ross, but there needs to be some more responsibility put in place. They’re public figures, after all!
Chris Brown seems to have quite the issue with authority, whether it be here in the states, or off somewhere else Chris is going to do what he wants when he wants and nothing anybody says is really going to make a difference. Recently footage of the R&B singer was shown from a performance of his in Ghana where Brown not only smoked a blunt on stage but it was a planned part of the show including theatrics, as if he were promoting breaking the laws. Some music fans as well as some of Ghana’s public officials are up in arms against it. It doesn’t surprise me one bit though I must say, it didn’t surprise me when I found out he didn’t do that community service, honestly I don’t think we’ve seen the worst of Breezy yet. I just hope we haven’t seen the best of him yet either. Hit the jump for the video.
