After quite a successful 5-week run that attracted over 4,000 people a day, Banksy has officially closed the doors on his Dismaland amusement park of sorts in the UK. The park was basically a display of Banksy’s crazy art with a few rides scattered in – a grim take on Walt Disney’s much more cheerful theme park, Disneyland. I’m so bitter that I wasn’t able to see this in person, but I got excited when I read they’ll be moving the exhibit to Calais, France. “Another chance,” I thought. But then I read on…and found that it won’t be open to the public. “Coming soon… Dismaland Calais,” a statement on their site reads. “All the timber and fixtures from Dismaland are being sent to the ‘jungle’ refugee camp near Calais to build shelters. No online tickets will be available.” So, there’s that. At least they will be helping those in need!

Artist Banksy End Up On LA’s Stupidest Criminal List After What He Just Pulled!
Banksy has been charged with the crime of vandalism. The artists’ name is David William Noll and now he has been charged with FELONY vandalism. According to the criminal complaint, Noll defaced 2 of Banksy’s most famous works (Girl on Swing and Peeing Dog.) The L.A. County D.A. filed FOUR separate vandalism charges, because Noll allegedly defaced both works and 5 days later went back and used paint remover on the walls. Max penalty, which is 5 years in prison. Noll could end up on L.A.’s stupidest criminals list, because he recorded himself painting over Banksy’s art, and then posted it on YouTube. The LAPD got a search warrant to get his info, and then got the 35-year-old at his mom’s house in Modesto. All the info was taken off YouTube. The D.A. says the only way they will prosecute for vandalism is if the property owner complains. No one complained. According to the LAPD police report … the company that owns the Girl On Swing building — a jeweler called Tarina Tarantino — believes Banksy’s work increased the value of the property by $650,000. Crazy!

British graffiti artist, Banksy, decided to bless the city of New York with various works of graffiti art. He plans to reveal a new work of art for each day in October. But, in East New York, Brooklyn’s going hard for the money. According to pictures and video, three men are covering up Banksy’s work with cardboard and charging potential viewers for the gaze.
