The Baltimore chapter of ‘Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’ has received a staggering 3,000 percent increase in mentor applicants in just a few days! This surge, the organization said, is the biggest in their entire history! “To have people reach out and say, ‘I want to make a commitment for the next year of my life spending every week with a young man or woman,’ is blowing my mind actually,” President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake, Terry Hickey, told NBC News.

Baltimore police began arresting protesters citywide for being out the streets past the 10PM curfew. Most of the protesters have complied with the curfew but those who have not are being met with police action. Watch the video after the jump.
