Reebok had a Landmark year acquiring Jay-Z to become the first non-athlete to have a signature athletic footwear collection. The launch of Jay Z’s first shoe was extremely successful around the world. Later that year, Reebok teamed up with another superstar of the rap world, 50 Cent. The result was the equally successful “G Unit Collection by Rbk.” Even FunkFlex rocked a couple of pairs and, agree’s these were Mean! Kicks: @FinishLine to Become Exclusive Partner of Athletic Shoes for Macy’s
Finish Line will become the sole partner for all men’s, women’s, and kids’ athletic footwear at 450 Macy’s department stores across the country. Finish Line will have branded in-store shops at these locations, and the inventory of athletic footwear at the remaining 225 Macy’s stores will be managed by Finish Line. Finish Line will also oversee the selection of athletic shoes on Macys.com. Scheduled to begin in Spring 2013, this venture is set to be completed by Fall 2014.
