Trevone Boykin’s college career did not end anywhere how he might have expected. Sure all players want to go out winning a national championship but only one team each year can do that. At the very least you want to go out and play great in your final game before you leave for the pros. Unforunately because of a bad decision, Boykin won’t get to do anything like that as he was kicked off the team after breaking team curfew and getting into a fight at a bar with security and then allegedly hit a police officer in the face.
Yesterday was not very lit for former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell. The Drake & Josh star was driving in Glendale, CA in the early afternoon, when an officer saw him swerving and speeding (55 in a 35) after abruptly stopping at a red light. He was quickly pulled over, and administered an on-site sobriety test after cops smelled liquor on his breath. Needless to say, he failed, and was locked up for nearly ten hours before bailing out for $20k. Sheesh!
Back in August, Travi$ Scott was arrested at Lollapalooza in Chicago, after cops accused the Rodeo rapper of starting a riot because he “encouraged fans” to rush the stage and jump over the barricades. At least one fan was injured in the melee. Appearing in court yesterday, Scott pleaded guilty to the reckless conduct charge, and has been ordered by a judge to be under court supervision for one year. (So, probation?)
What rhymes with karma? Martin Shkreli. Not at all actually, but nevertheless… The disgraced pharmaceutical exec who became known earlier this year when he raised the price on an HIV/cancer treatment from $13.50 per pill to $750 per pill (it costs $1 to make, by the way,) is now behind bars for fraud. This comes just after he purchased the 1-of-1 Wu-Tang album for $2 million – which he now says he may sue RZA over because he doesn’t like RZA’s comments about him once he found out he was the AIDS pill guy. Yeah, he’s a gem.
Earlier this year, Atlanta-based rapper Skippa Da Flippa (who is credited for popularizing “The Dab” dance) was arrested alongside all three members of Migos during a show at a Georgia college. Both Skippa as well as two out of three Migos members were eventually released (Offset still remains behind bars because of his previous record,) but now Skippa is right back in. DJ Akademiks reports he was arrested on fugitive charges in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, following a show this past Friday night. There are no further details about the incident and it is not immediately known whether this is related to his previous arrest. We’ll keep you updated!
