Ariel Winter was back in court against her mom, who was trying to force Ariel to do therapy with her mother. Ariel refuses to go, and the judge sided with the 15 year old actress most known for her role on Modern Family a popular television sitcom. The judge said he couldn’t force a teenager to have a relationship with their mom if they don’t want to. Ariel has already been placed into her sister, Shanelle Gray, after courts found evidence of their mother emotionally abusing her. So now I suppose the mother is just trying to get a hold of Ariel any way she can, but Ariel doesn’t want any thing to do with her and I don’t blame her.

The custody battle for Modern Family star Ariel Winter just got a whole lot uglier than it already was. In October, 14-year-old Ariel became estranged from her mother after claims of physical and mental abuse, and went to live with her old sister, who’d been estranged from their mom for many years. Modern Family is hands down my favorite show (thanks to my boo Carol for putting me on!), so I care more than the average person that one of its stars is going through a rough time right now. 14-year-old Ariel Winter plays the “nerd” daughter Alex Dunphy, and while she has a great family on the show, the same can’t be said about her real life. A judge has had to remove her from the care of her mother, after some serious allegations of both physical and mental abuse. A report that Ariel just wanted to be emancipated from her mother just to be with her boyfriend turned out to be false, further backed up by the fact that her older sister Shanelle (who she’s now in the custody of) went through the same circumstances about 20 years ago.
