Human Rights Activist Looking To Stop Nicki Minaj From Performing In Angola

Thor Halvorssen, a Human Rights Foundation activist, is pulling out all the stops with the hopes that Nicki Minaj will cancel an upcoming performance in Angola. The “Super Bass” singer is scheduled to headline the Unitel Christmas Festival this coming weekend. However, while the country continues to be ran by President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, a human rights violator, Halvorssen will continue to believe that good music is not allowed. About a year and a half ago, concert promoter, Patrick Allocco filed a lawsuit for $10miL against, Queens rapper, Nas. Allocco, alleges that he and his son were kidnapped, because Nas never showed up to a show that was arranged in Angola for a series of New Year’s eve events. Nas’ attorney is saying that this lawsuit is totally bogus and it needs to go in the circular files. Drop down bottom for the details.

A promoter and his son have had some major issues since the beginning of the year, all due to a Nas concert gone horribly wrong. When the rapper failed to make his scheduled New Year’s Eve show in Angola, the man that sponsored the money to the promoters to pay for Nas’ appearance kidnapped them until the money was paid back. It was a long, crazy process that the police were involved in and months later, it was finally solved. Now, MTV has caught up with both Nas and the promoter to get their comments on the debacle.
