Amir Khan was convinced he would face Floyd Mayweather for his May 3rd fight earlier this year but in a stunning twist to Khan, Mayweather instead chose Marcos Maidana, a fighter Khan beat back in 2010. Instead of being on the main card, Khan ended up on the undercard fighting Luis Collazo, whom he beat in a decided fashion. Khan then pushed for a match between he and Manny Pacquiao but Pacman instead went with Chris Algeri. Khan still believes he’ll face both Mayweather and Pacquiao someday but he has an interesting take on which fight would be more difficult.
It is being reported that world class boxer Amir Khan was arrested yesterday after hitting two different men. Reports said that neither of the victims were seriously hurt, with injuries to a cheek and a leg, according to police. They were apparently acquaintances of the boxer, although a direction connection was not established. The details so far as sketchy at best as nobody really seems to know why Khan hit the men and who they really were to him. The only fact so far is that he was indeed arrested and charged. Hit the jump.
The 46-0 champ just might be giving fans what they want! No, not Manny Pacquiao — but a fight that fans also really want to see. He dropped a hint at who it could be comes September 13th. Check it out…
Amir Khan announced on Twitter that he will be fighting Luis Collazo on May 3rd in Las Vegas on the Mayweather/Maidana undercard. Hit the jump for more details…
Even though it probably won’t happen, I’d LOVE to see Adrien Broner & Amir Khan take this beef to the ring (possible on Mayweather’s undercard)! It started yesterday with Broner saying he’s ready “to beat the fuck out of Amir Khan” & that “Khan ain’t shit.” Khan didn’t back down — he had some fun and took those memes from Broner’s last fight and shared them on Twitter with messages of his own. Of course, Broner then responded back. Yea, these two definitely need to go toe-to-toe! Check it out…
