Earlier today the last convoy of American troops left Iraq after a war that lasted almost nine years. Although the war began in an aerial bombs, it ended on a relatively quiet note. The troops left Iraq today at daybreak to head to neighboring Kuwait were at least 4,000 troops will be stationed for a few months. U.S. Fears New Surge Of Al Qaeda Violence After Leaving Iraq
President Obama announced that at the end of the year he would have all of the American troops withdrawn from Iraq. Now senior American and Iraqi officials are expressing growing concern that Al Qaeda may increase the violence in Iraq once American troops leave.
