As Saturday Night Live enters its 40th season this fall, the show’s most tenured African-American cast member has made plans for it to be his last. After 12 seasons on SNL, Kenan Thompson will be reportedly moving to Los Angeles with his wife Christina and their newborn, and has plans for a new TV show. He’d previously planned to leave after last season and work on a sitcom, but nixed the idea after SNL‘s producer, Lorne Michaels, asked him to stay on. Nickelodeon Set to Bring Back All That, Rugrats, Clarissa Explains It All and More!!
There was a picture that floated around Twitter some time last month that said all of our beloved 90’s Nick shows were coming back…but there was no source so I was pretty skeptical. I mean, us 20-somethings who grew up on shows like All That, Clarissa Explains It All, Salute Your Shorts, Double Dare, etc…we’ve been lobbying to get these back on TV for years. There are countless Facebook pages and online petitions dedicated to bringing them back and FINALLY, it looks like Nickelodeon has heard our pleas!! They’re coming back!!!! I literally am smiling ear to ear. Guys….I loved Clarissa Explains It All So Much….I asked my parents to officially change my name to Clarissa LMAO (it obviously didn’t happen though)…I was her for Halloween…everything!!
