New details were released about Mexico star soccer player Alan Pulido’s kidnapping. It was originally reported that state and federal forces formed a joint operation to free him but now it’s being reported that Pulido himself was the key in his release.

Mexico and Olympiakos striker Alan Pulido is safe and healthy, almost 24 hours after he was kidnapped while returning from a party in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria in the northern border state of Tamaulipas.

25-year-old Mexican professional player Alan Pulido, was kidnapped Sunday morning Pulido was taken somewhere near his hometown in the northern border state of Tamaulipas, Mexico, a state which has been beset by a wave of organized crime.
