(Video) Pulse Night Club Survivor Speaks On Why Omar Mateen Did Not Want To Target African Americans

A woman by the name of Patience Carter was one of the survivors in the Pulse night club shooting. She says that while she was in the bathroom, Omar Mateen asked if any of the people in there were African Americans. She was too afraid to speak. The man said that he did not want them to think this shooting was about African Americans because it wasn’t. He said they had already been through.

Even in 2013 racism is a major issue, so it’s no surprise that Hollywood – the business that calls the shunned, BLACK-listed – still puts color first. According to comedian Steve Harvey, “Hollywood is more racist than America is…And television should look entirely different.” In my opinion it’s because the way most African Americans are portrayed to think that in order make it in the Hollywood industry is to be cast on a reality show, get involved (physically) with an already established actor and/or musician OR to be a rapper. The movie is going to examine how black cultural identity is linked to high-calorie, high-fat foods such as fried chicken and barbecued ribs and how eating habits may be changing. The creator of the film, Byron Hurt speaks on his father’s fight and eventual death from pancreatic cancer. A high-fat diet is a risk factor for the illness, according to researchers at Duke University in North Carolina.We all love our Sunday dinners, but we also must AT LEAST be enlightened on how certain foods can affect us in the long run.
