On Sunday night, Too $hort and business partner Monica Payne celebrated the opening of their new digital production facility, “The Magic Gate,” in Studio City, CA. Tons of their celeb friends were in the building, including Cedric The Entertainer, Affion Crockett, Ray J, Rosa Acosta, DJ Whoo Kid and more. “I just want to help all talent, no matter what type of music,” Too $hort says of the new endeavor. “We’ve built something that we can offer to artists in this digital age. It’s just all about dreams coming true, mine included. Magical things will happen; careers will be started. The people we have here [at Magic Gate] are all talented and we’re putting our blood, sweat and tears into this…we know the rewards will come later.” Check out pics from the night in the gallery.
