The NFL finds out about everything, even if you didn’t mean to hide something from them. There are reports that there was a phone call between Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Vikings all world running back Adrian Peterson and the call centered around possibly getting Peterson to the Cowboys. Obviously Jerry would love that but AP is still under contract and now that the details of the call were leaked out, everyone involved is trying to cover their a**, but it may be too late.

Congratulations are in order for Adrian Peterson! He reportedly got married to his girlfriend, Ashley Brown. He hasn’t publicly announced the news, but his new wife has updated her Twitter profile to @MrsAshPeterson and her bio says, “Wife. Mother. God 1st” kind of person who splits time between “Houston/Minn.” Congrats to the happy couple!

This story is terrible. Not sure why this man was even free on bail after being accused of such a evil crime but nonetheless it happened. Joseph Patterson, the man who was arrested last year for the murder of Adrian Peterson’s son Tyrese now stands accused of kidnapping the mother of the same child. He is still awaiting trial for the murder charge and while out on bail got into an altercation with Tyrese’s mother and assaulted her and kidnapped her. Now he is back in jail again and hopefully someone will have sense this time and make sure he doesn’t get bail. Hit the jump.

Jim Brown knows all about being the NFL rushing king. Nobody has held the career rushing title longer than Brown, who had it from 1963-84. Emmitt Smith is the current rushing leader, having set the mark in 2002. But Brown said Vikings star Adrian Peterson could top it one day.
