Weekly Top 10 Album Sales … Adele Continues Her Reign, @WizardCud Debuts In Top 3!
It’s no surprise that Adele continues her reign at number one, nabbing the spot for the 23rd consecutive week with “21” moving another 247k copies. A big congrats goes out to Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius, though, as their collaborative project “W Z R D” debuted at number 3, moving 66k copies! Weekly Top 10 Album Sales … Congrats To @Tyga Landing In The Top 5!!
As you can guess, Adele topped the charts once again this week with her YEAR OLD album, becoming the longest running number 1 since Prince’s “Purple Rain”! Truly cray! On the hip-hop side of things, congrats to our guy Tyga coming in at number 4, moving 61k units of “Careless World.” It would have been higher, but physical copies were pulled from shelves of major chains the first few days because of a last minute sample clearance issue. The year of Adele: The British singer who won two Brit awards and six Grammys last week, has set up home with her boyfriend Simon Konecki in a $10 million ten-bedroom mansion in the UK’s Sussex. Complete with two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), 25 acres of land, tennis courts and a self-contained staff cottage, it’s safe to say that Adele’s hard work has certainly paid off. Weekly Top 10 Album Sales … Adele Moves Close To A MILLION Units Of “21”, Whitney Houston At #2
This is just insane! Adele moved an additional 730 THOUSAND units of her now YEAR old album, “21”, following her performance at the Grammy’s. This is the 21st time the album has reached number one on the charts since its release last February. Whitney Houston is always seeing a lot of sales in the wake of her passing, moving 175k units of “Whitney: The Greatest Hits”, coming in at number 2 on the charts.
