The police don’t care who you are! As news circulated about Joey Bada$$ and Ab-Soul’s arrest, so did a video. Joey laughed like a hyena as he was unaware of why he was in handcuffs. Apparently, so were the officers. Statik Selektah – along for The Smoker’s Club ride told Hip-Hop DX that the police were simply being dick-heads. “The cops felt dumb as f**k after they realized they were fucking up. [It was] basically profiling gone wrong. They saw the tour bus, passports, etcetera,” says Statik. The two weren’t charged with anything and let go. Joey Bada$$ and Ab-Soul’s The Smokers Club Tour rolled through St. Louis, Missouri last night, but things didn’t exactly go smoothly. In the parking lot following the show, both rappers were handcuffed and arrested by police, though little details are known as to why. “Have you figured out why I’m in these handcuffs? Have you figured it out?” Joey laughed as he stood in front of the cops. “Yo, they don’t know why I’m in these handcuffs!” One can assume the arrest is marijuana related, but we’ll know for sure later today. Ab-Soul RT’d the video below, posted by a member of his crew, so it appears they’ve already been released. No further comments from Soul or Joey yet, however.

Ab-Soul is starting to show more face. After letting the media know what is was last week, it’s only right that he comes out of the perceived ‘K.Dot lime-light’. During the Smokers Club Tour, HNHH had a sit down with the, ‘black lip pastor’ and talks calling Mac Miller, Ice Cube, the next to drop project and the failed release of the project with JMSN. “Unit 6 is not looking too promising,” Ab-Soul mentions. “Sorry about that, I was real excited!” It’s cool, we’ll wait – for now. The black hippy who was recently featured on the remix to, Emelie Sande’s “My Kind of Love” delivers these details, all while smoking that green with his homeboy Chevy Woods.
