World Trade Center Memorial Too Expensive?
The National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center is an amazing spectacle. The memorial has already received 4.5 million visitors in its first year and the underground museum has yet to be completed. However, the foundation that runs the memorial has said with the expensive cost of the project, $700 million, and the operating cost, $60 million per year, the budget may be unsustainable without a big government subsidy.
