NFL: Adidas Offers $1 Million to Prospect Who Breaks 40-Yard Dash Record!
Adidas is back with another offer for NFL Draft prospects running the 40-yard dash. Last year they planned to give out customized Porsches for the three fastest players but the NFL squashed those plans due to their deal with General Motors. Instead Adidas gave $100,000 each to the three winners. This year they stepped it up a HUGE notch.

Things just got real interesting for prospects at the upcoming NFL combine. Every year the prospects try to have the fastest 40-yard dash time but this year it won’t only bring them national accolades and a higher draft rating, it’ll also score them a custom Porsche 911 courtesy of Adidas.

Antonio Cromartie’s confidence has always been high but he’s stepped it up a notch lately. Recently he commented that he and former Jets teammate Darrelle Revis are the best cornerbacks in the league. Now he posted a video on his Instagram account of him running the 40-yard dash at a crazy 4.34 and 4.36 seconds.

When a guy who is basically 6’5 and weighs 270 pounds can move this fast you have to wonder if he is human. Everyone is expecting Jadeveon Clowney to be selected in the top 2 or 3 picks in the NFL draft and he made sure of that by putting on a show today for the NFL scouts. At the rookie combine today, where teams and scouts put players entering the draft through numerous test and drills, Clowney blew everyone away literally. He was clocked unofficially at 4.47 in the 40 yard dash, which for a man his size is just crazy. Some of the fastest players already in the NFL can’t run that fast and those would be receivers and running backs. He even had Olympic sprinter Maurice Green, who once held the world record in the 100 meter dash, and trains fast guys like Reggie Bush & Richard Sherman say that he has never seen anything like it. This kid will be playing defensive line where usually guys are slow because of how big they are. I am sure quarterbacks around the league can already feel Clowney chasing them down since he is faster than damn near every one of them. Hit the jump to see.
NFL:(Video) Draft Bust Jamarcus Russell Runs 40 Yard Dash
Some of you will probably care less but this is still fun to watch. Jamarcus Russell, who was drafted #1 overall by the Oakland Raiders a few years ago, and given a huge rookie contract before finding himself out of the league is trying hard with his comeback. For those who don’t know, Mr. Russell has probably been the worst draft pick in NFL history. He never proved he was worth anything and he was out of shape and cut before he knew it. In an effort to show NFL scouts he is taking his comeback serious, he has been working with trainers to get in football shape. He ran the 40 yard dash the other day, which is the mecca of important football numbers. Let’s just say he still has some jelly donuts to get out of his system before people will take his comeback serious. Check out the video after the jump.
