9-Year-Old Quvenzhane Wallis Called A “C*nt” By The Onion; Twitter Goes Off…Onion Apologizes

Adorable 9-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis was nominated for Best Leading Actress last night at the 2013 Oscars for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild Star. As the show went on last night, everyone did what’s typically done during awards shows in this day and age: comment via your Twitter account. The Onion, a satirical website with witty writers that make up outlandish…yet hilarious…headlines and stories, were no different. Switching up between actual articles and just tweets, The Onion stayed on top of the awards show last night, but when it came to Quvenzhane losing her category, they went way too far. “Everyone else seems afraid to say it, but that Quvenzhané Wallis is kind of a c*nt, right? #Oscars2013,” they wrote. I get that they’re all about humor and satire, but you don’t use that kind of humor on a 9-year-old. Needless to say, MANY were up in arms over the tweet. Their mentions were quickly flooded with angry Twitter users, telling them to take it down, informing them that they’re unfollowing, demanding an apology…you get the idea. Though the tweet sat for quite some time, it was eventually deleted. And finally this morning, an apology was issued. See what they said below. Is it enough?

(Video) Caught On Tape: True Blood Star Totally REJECTED From Oscars After-Party

It’s bad enough to be rejected from a party…it’s even worse when you’re a known public figure and the whole incident is captured on tape! “True Blood” star Ryan Kwanten attempted to attend a huge after-party for yesterday’s Oscars last night at Craig’s in Hollywood…and was met with stone-faced bouncers who were NOT letting it fly. Awkward! Watch the entire moment go down below.

(Video) Ted Makes An Appearance At The 2013 Oscars

Seth Macfarlane’s character Ted was a hit in theaters in 2012, and it was a hit last night during the 2013 Oscars! Watch the foul-mouthed bear’s appearance on the show alongside Mark Wahlberg below.

Update: (Photos + Video) Damn, Who Knew This Was Going On Behind The Scenes At The Oscars Last Night?!

The Oscars got a little sh*tty last night…literally! After someone went IN in the bathroom, they clogged the toilet so bad that it burst a pipe and it flooded the entire lobby of the theater, just before the opening curtain was pulled. It was “quite a thing” according to people there, but luckily, the custodial staff handled the situation with vacuums. Check out another pic from the incident in the gallery. Good thing it didn’t get any worse! Can you imagine all of those celebrities dressed in their best, overstepping some nasty things trying to get out? It would have been such a mess!

(Photos) Kerry Washington Is STUNNING On The Red Carpet At The 2013 Oscars

Kerry Washington is riding such an amazing wave in her career right now, between the wild success of everyone’s favorite drama Scandal, as well as her leading role in Django Unchained. Arriving on the red carpet at the 2013 Oscars just moments ago, the actress sparkled in a coral Miu Miu gown with minimal jewelry and a red clutch. Check more pics in the gallery!

Rick Ross Added To The List For Possible Oscar Nomination

I’m not sure what the Oscar nominees’ cut offs are, but apparently it’s not too far from their air date of February 24th. For other awards shows like the Grammy’s, your album had to have come out by a certain date (months and months before) to qualify for a nomination. Ross, however, could possibly score one for the 2013 Oscars with his song “100 Black Coffins,” off the soundtrack of the yet-to-be-released Django Unchained movie (out Christmas Day). Though he wouldn’t be the first rapper to take home an Oscar (Three 6 Mafia won in 2006 with “It’s Hard Out Here For a Pimp” from Hustle & Flow; Eminem in 2003 with 8 Mile‘s “Lose Yourself”), his chances are rather slim that he’ll even get a nomination: 1 in 75, to be exact.
