Sabrina B. The 1979 Tampa Bay Rays had the best uniforms in baseball that year. Alright, the team didn’t really come into existence until 1998, but the hypothetical throwback uniforms they unveiled on Wednesday sure make it look like they would have been.  The team sent out a picture via Twitter that shows manager Joe Maddon modeling the make-believe threads.   The Rays will wear these for their game against the Tigers on June 30th.
