As you know, there’s a lot of tension going on over at the YMCMB headquarters. Lil Wayne and Birdman are at odds, making for a seemingly awkward place for the artists under that umbrella like Drake and Nicki Minaj. In a recent interview about the whole melee, Birdman was quoted as saying:
“Nicki and Drake ain’t going nowhere, regardless. Both of them – very. And I got much respect for both of them, because they got enough respect for Dwayne Carter and Bryan Williams. You’ll never hear nothing out their mouth’s negative about either of us, because we both have blessed their lives. So Nicki and Drake, regardless of what’s goes down with us, they not going anywhere.”
(Am I the only one that feels like that whole statement was super scary and menacing?)
Both Young Thug and Birdman were named in a recent indictment, saying they were behind a conspiracy to have Lil Wayne killed when a man (who later turned out to be connected to Thug) shot at Wayne’s tour bus back in April. The damning evidence was in the phone records, as the suspect (Jimmy Winfrey) had placed two calls – one before the shooting and one after – and the first call was a phone registered to Young Thug, the second to Birdman. However, Birdman is denying any involvement. TMZ reports that that wasn’t exactly the right story, as Birdman DID get a call following the shooting, but it was from someone in Wayne’s camp.
Well this is odd. Lil Wayne and Rich Gang Affiliate , Rich Homie Quan hit the studio together in Miami and it’s caught on tape. Hop into the post to watch the video and catch up on the details! #IFWT!
Although TIDAL is claiming that Lil Wayne gave them the rights to stream his music in return for part ownership of the company, Birdman begs to differ. In a recent lawsuit obtained my TMZ, Ca$h Money has filed a lawsuit against the new music streaming service for the release of singles from Lil Wayne’s Free Weezy Album. Find out more below.
Earlier Young Thug’s home got raided when he was arrested in ATL for terroristic threats(he told a mall security guard he’d shoot him in the face), but apparently there’s more to the story. The reporter that reported on it for local ATL tv station(WSBTV) says Baby and Young Thug are named in the indictment for Thugger’s road manager that shot at Lil Wayne’s tour bus.
