In honor of National Aids Day on December 1st, Alicia Keys spearheaded a campaign involving her and a handful of other notable figures where they’d die a “digital death” to raise money. All participants logged off Twitter last week and vowed to stay off until $1 million was raised. Today they reached the goal and now your fave tweeters are back! (Although Usher cheated and came back yesterday…) They were moving fairly slowly with donations, but today a major portion of the money was donated by billionaire Stewart Rahr. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the fans, friends and artists who stood together for this cause and saved real lives,†said Alicia of the feat. What a great accomplishment! Congrats to all involved on the success! @MarisaMendez
