Sony Introduces Crakle for Google TV…works on Mac Too!!!!!

Sony introduced a Flash-based movie and TV show repository called Crackle that is meant for GoogleTV. The good news is that it works well on Mac as well and there is some compelling (and lot of not compelling) content on there from Sony Pictures and Movies. Obviously because it is Flash based, it doesn’t work on iOS devices (But May work on SkyFire) and it will juice your processor on your Mac, but free full length high quality movies? Could be Clean! @TatWza

iPhone’s Skyfire Browser App one THE Most Popular

A few weeks ago we wanted to tell you about a cool browser app that let’s you play Flash-based video’s other than youtube on your iPhone(since flash and apple dont see eye to eye, but then skyfire reported that the app was “Sold Out”, which really meant they couldn’t keep up with the demand! And after letting you know about KiK and them shutting down from US(yeah I said it, cause its true, we put them on) I didn’t want to tell you guys about something that wasn’t available, but Skyfire has some what opened back up for biz, and now they are one of the most popular apps, and have made $1M selling about 300k copies at $2.99 a pop!!! Check the Skyfire CEO on CNN after the jump!!! @TatWza

AT&T might owe iPhone & Blackberry Owner’s some $!!!!

AT&T is notifying its customers this evening of a settlement for “Internet Taxes” charged to its loyal customers…

“If you paid taxes, fees or surcharges (“Internet Taxes”) to AT&T Mobility LLC (“AT&T Mobility”) on internet access through certain services including iPhone data plans, Blackberry data plans, other smart phone data plans, laptop connect cards and pay-per-use data services on bills issued from November 1, 2005 up to and including September 7, 2010, you might be eligible to receive benefits from a class action settlement. The settlement resolves lawsuits concerning AT&T Mobility charging Internet Taxes for internet access through certain services. The two sides disagree about whether AT&T Mobility’s charging of Internet Taxes was proper, and if it was improper, how much the plaintiffs would have been entitled to. The parties have agreed to resolve these cases by settlement.”

Now I have had an iPhone in 2007 and currently have a BB on at&t, so I am mos def going to look into this(cause they are definitely charging way too much on there), and whatever I find out I’ll keep you updated!!! Stay Tuned, But if anything call that #!!!!! @TatWza

Dish Network Officially working with Google TV!!!!

This is a Dish Network DVR, Priced at $179 (for the normally $299 Logitech Revue, plus $4/month service fee) but Dish Network officially started offering the integrated Google TV experience for its customers. The $4 fee applies to and will work with Sony’s Google TV devices as well, but the Revue is the only unit to get a price break up front. Dish is so far the sole TV provider that will let Google TV search through and control its compatible DVRs, and it’s put up a video demo to show how that works (embedded after the Jump.) Beyond the continuing questions about the Google TV platform itself, we’ll wait and see if Dish got the price right, those interested can check the press release for details on how to sign up. @TatWza

Fox Blocks Google TV!! That makes 4 Networks Now!!!

Seems like Fox has made a decision on Google TV, following the other major networks, Hulu and several cable channels by opting to block streaming video on its website from Google TV devices. Blocking by Flash ID is the order of the day and takes simple browser workarounds out of play, so unless users want to go the PlayOn route, there’s large swaths of legitimate video on the web that’s now inaccessible. This same type of blocking is likely to affect other devices like the Boxee Box that launched last night, so prepare for a bit more preening by the “get an HTPC!” crowd while fans that like these devices video to feed their hardware. @TatWza

Android on your iPhone…for Jailbroken Phones only!!!

If you don’t know by now a jailbroke iPhone means you have broken out of the constraints of the factory setting, and are able to get apps that are not offered in the app store, and the recently released Bootlace 2.1 application for jailbroken iPhones let’s you install android(No Computer Necessary), but Unfortunately, it only works with the iPhone 2G and 3G at the moment, but it will let you install Android 2.2 (a.k.a. Froyo) directly on the device without the need for a computer. Ironically enough most android phones are only running 2.1! @TatWza
