iPad Ping instead of iOS 4.2 Update!!!!

No It’s not the update of iOS 4.2, but it’s def an interesting update nonetheless through  iTunes backend overhaul, Ping has come to the iPad. Now, the untold millions who enjoy broadcasting that they’ve purchased an iTunes track can do so on a larger screen. Assuming, of course, that they didn’t migrate their Ping experience to Twitter yesterday evening. @TatWza

Saudi Arabia Blocks Facebook!!

Now joining Pakistan and Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia’s communications authority has blocked Facebook! According to an official from the communications authority, Facebook had “crossed a line” with the kingdom’s conservative morals. However, according to this official, blocking the site is only a “temporary measure”. The site was blocked Saturday so now an error message shows up when Internet users try to access it. Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam and religious leaders have strong influence over policy making and social mores. Tat’sTechTalk

Netflix Streaming on Android Devices Early 2011!!!

Netflix has always been something of a fickle beast, lavishing treats upon just one platform at a time, but now that iOS, Windows Phone 7 and every game console under the sun are streaming its video, the firm’s finally turned its gaze on Android. Come early 2011, Netflix will appear on “select Android devices,” according to the company’s official blog, which also promises a “standard, platform-wide solution” for Android in the unspecified future. What took so long, and why will Netflix be limited to particular handsets when it first rolls out? “The hurdle has been the lack of a generic and complete platform security and content protection mechanism available for Android,” says the blog, stating piracy concerns. Apparently content holders aren’t too keen on making movies available unless devices have DRM baked right in, so the solution is equip new phones with padlocks one at a time. Expect next year’s high-end Android devices to have “Netflix” as a nice big bullet point!!!!! @TatWza

*Gaming* LA Noire – Rockstar’s Latest Title!!!

Rockstar Games the creators of your favorite shoot’em up and blow up everything game, Grand Theft Auto and The Action filled Red Dead Redemption will be bringing the highly anticipated. Game L.A. Noire.  L.A. Noire has been in the works for some years  but Rockstar has recently released the games first Trailer. And by the looks of the trailer, the game looks to be a thriller in the making .  Taking a que from Grand Theft Auto the game takes place in a recreated Los Angles in the 1940’s.  Unlike GTA and Red Dead Redemption L.A. Noire will not have missions but the player will have to solve a series of murders that have taken place.   Just like the title, the game uses film noire style which was the visual style used in the 1940’s and 1950’s in Hollywood.   L.A. Noire will be using Darksprints Real-time Global illumination technology which means the game will use a 3D computer graphics that will add a more realistic lighting to 3D scenes.   So putting together a pretty good gaming style with technology L.A. Noire will be a game to look out for in the future. RockStar Games says this game will be available spring 2011. TatsTechTalk
