It looks like Google Now is on its way to iOS, Windows 8 and Chromebooks users. Google Now gives you personalized, up to date information as you need it. The Google search app delivers today’s weather, your Google Calendar appointments, directions to home or work (depending on what time of day it is), a heads up to nearby events, the score from your favorite sports team’s latest game, boarding passes, package tracking, dinner reservations and a lot more. There was reportedly a Google ad promoting Google Now on the iPhone and iPad that was later pulled from Youtube. No one at Google would comment on the the Youtube Google video ad.
Possible leaked photos of Galaxy S IV have hit the web. The photos were posted by a user in a forum earlier today and basically fits the profile of the Galaxy S IV, we have previously reported on. The Galaxy S IV is reported to feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p HD resolution, an eight-core processor, up to 64GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It looks like both Apple and Samsung will be adding wireless charging capabilities to iPhone 5S and Galaxy S4 this year. Sources say that the next-generation iPhone will use wireless charging technology developed by Apple. At this time no one knows if the charger will be built with the wireless charging feature or rely on an attached accessory. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is expected to support the Qi wireless charging technology. The S4 may not include the capability itself but instead require users to buy a back cover that can access a charging pad.
5 Point Café in Seattle, Washington banned all patrons from using Google Glass eyewear well in advance. The owner Dave Meinert said Seattle is a techie town and sooner or later people will be walking around with Google Glass as new shades but the main reason for the ban has to do with preserving patrons’ privacy. On their facebook the wrote “For the record, The 5 Point is the first Seattle business to ban in advance Google Glasses. And [butt] kickings will be encouraged for violators.”
