Blink is an old school house call type of business where a technician not optometrist comes to your house and for a flat fee of $75 gives you a full eye exam where prescriptions can be filled in 24 hours. One of the best features is the Blink App which can tell you the prescription strength of your current lenses using a smartphone. The future of wearable technology is very bright. Italian eyewear maker Luxottica has confirmed that they are working with Google on the second generation of the futuristic pair of glasses. Luxottica is better known for being the company behind Oakley and Ray-ban so you can imagine the design of Google Glass 2.0 is going to be on point. The Wall Street Journal reported that Luxottica had a meeting at its Milan headquarters discussing the preparation for their next big project. Thats a hell of a deal to back out on. According to a Bloomberg Report ComCast the largest cable provider in North America is abandoning its $45 Billion bid to merge with Time Warner Cable. Sources are reporting that on Friday Comcast will make an announcement in a shocking change of events. The deal had been waiting federal approval for a year because of the sheer size of this merger. Wow, Facebook Video is slowly becoming Mark Zuckerberg’s next big moneymaker. The number of videos viewed on Facebook has tripled since last summer. Out of the 3.32 billion dollars of advertising revenue from the website, 73% of it came from mobile views. Facebook updated its mobile software and feed algorithms. This helped to accommodate more video playback to happen when their members scroll through their timeline. You can see this focus on software user friendly videos with the auto playback feature you see on Facebook now that silently plays video as soon as you scroll on them. This has definitely paid off for the social media conglomerate because viewership numbers have been climbing greatly.
