Someone Else From The FCC Is Stepping Down?

A day after Robert McDowell announced his resignation, reports are surfacing that chairman Julius Genachowski will be resigning on June 30th. Genachowski became Federal Communications Commission Chairman in 2009 and has been a key figure in consumer electronics. He has overseen unlocking phone policy issues and both AT&T’s attempt to purchase T-Mobile and T-Mobile’s merger with MetroPCS.


Yet ANOTHER App Not On A Blackberry!!!

Starting April 21st, Chase bank will no longer offer the Chase Mobile App for BlackBerry devices. In an email to customers, Jennifer Myhre wrote, ” We want you to be aware of a change. Starting April 21st, we’ll no longer offer the Chase Mobile® App for BlackBerry devices. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.” The Senior Vice President continued,”You will still be able to access your accounts with your BlackBerry device by going to chase.com on your mobile browser.” Customers will no longer be about to use the Quick Deposit feature which allowed users to deposit checks from their BlackBerry.


Yahoo Trying To Go Mobile Now!?!

Yahoo acquired Jybe, a start-up mobile company that was founded by former employees. Jybe, developed a mobile app that recommends movies, books and restaurants based on data contained in social networks. Yahoo will shut down the Jybe service and the former Yahoo employees will work on helping Yahoo add to its product line up.


EBay Is Trying To Compete More With Who?

EBay says its going to lower its seller fees in order to compete with Amazon. According to Reuters, “Some of eBay’s listing fees, a bone of contention among sellers, are also going away. Most of the changes will kick in April 16, with others taking effect May 1.” Many of the sellers that are low volume sellers will pay lower fees after the change.


Is Google Making An ALL In One Service?!?

There is a rumor going around that Google will put all its chat services under a one service called Babble. Most of Google’s products have their own specifics features that limits its ability to work with other Google products. The new service will fill in the gap, making it easier for all Google’s communication products to work well together. So hopefully in May at the Google I/O developer’s conference, we will hear more about Babble.


Adobe Exec Joins WHAT Company?!?

Kevin Lynch is resigning from Adobe as its chief technology officer, to take on a new role at Apple as vice president of technology . Lynch who has worked for Adobe since 2005, will leave the company on March 22. CEO Shantanu Narayen and senior vice president Bryan Lamkin will take over his responsibilities at Adobe.
