Is Myspace Prepping For A Major Relaunch?!?

Myspace announced today that it has hired two new vice presidents to prepare the company for its major relaunch this year. The new VP of global marketing is Christian Parkes, former Levi’s global senior director of marketing. Former senior producer at Vice Media, Joseph Patel, is now Myspace’s VP of content and creative.


Facebook Add New Features!!

Facebook is adding two more features for Pages used by brands,businesses and for individuals with more than 10,000 followers. The new features are designed to increase time spent on the site by adding replies and threaded comments for people who liked your page. A few accounts already have the feature in place but it should be rolled out soon to all desktop users.


Yahoo Buys ANOTHER Mobile Company!?!

It looks like Yahoo is really gearing up to do something mobile soon. We reported just a few days about Yahoo acquiring Jybe, a start up mobile app company. Now, Yahoo has a new acquisition, Summly, a mobile news gathering and delivery startup.


Samsung Is Trying To Sell WHAT Company To Amazon?!?!

According to sources Samsung is trying to sell its subsidiary, Liquavista, to Amazon. Samsung is looking to sell the Dutch company for less than $100 million. Liquavista creates electronic-reader display technology in which Samsung in 2011. The reason for Samsung considering to sell the acquisition is because the company didn’t meet its expectations.


No More Contracts For T-Mobile Customers!?!?!

It looks like T-Mobile has finally got rid of contracts for wireless customers to make the wireless carrier more competitive. T-Mobile’s Web site shows an unlimited talk, text, and Web option that includes up to 500MB of high-speed data for a single phone for $50 a month. The price rises as the data level increases for example 2GB for $60, and 4GB for $70. As far as the phone itself, T-Mobile will allow customers to pay for the phone in payments or outright.


Oracle Acquires Yet Another Company!!!

It looks like Oracle has been on a buying spree. The company just purchased its third acquisition this year. Oracle has entered into an agreement to buy Tekelec, a network signaling company that enables service providers to both manage and monetize the explosive growth in mobile data traffic and multimedia applications.
