Robert Rodriguez Is Working With THIS Wireless Carrier!!

Earlier this year it was announced that director, Robert Rodriquez, would be creating commercials for Blackberry 10. The campaign is called Keep It Moving and the Sin City director has created a project called Project Green Screen. He purposely left portions of the film undone, so that fans can create their own version and submit them in to finish the movie. Check out the video after the jump.


Twitter Will Make How MUCH By 2014???

Twitter has been generating a lot of revenue with ads on the social network. According to eMarketer, more than half of Twitter’s ad revenues, about 53%, will come from mobile advertising this year, up from virtually no ad revenue from mobile in 2011. The company is estimated to earn about $580 million in ad revenue. In the year 2014, the company will have made at least $1 billion in ad revenue.


Wait… Apple Couldn’t Trademark What?!?!

US Patent And Trademark Office, denied Apple’s application to trademark iPad Mini. Apple received a letter in January from the USPTO stating, “Registration is refused because the applied-for mark merely describes a feature or characteristic of applicant’s goods.” The letter then continues to break down the meaning of the word iPad mini,”the wording merely describes a feature of applicant’s goods, namely, a small sized handheld tablet computer.” Apple has another 3 months to appeal the letter.


Facebook Has A MAJOR Announcement!!!

Facebook sent out invitations to the press for an event on April 4 at its headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif that read, “Come See Our New Home On Android”. Sources are saying ,the Company will be introducing a new version of Google’s Android software system that makes the social network the main focus on HTC smartphones. Reportedly, when the device is turned on it will automatically go to the users Facebook as its homescreen. Facebook’s camera and messaging apps will be the default apps for the core functions of the phone.


Sprint Is Cutting Ties With WHAT Company?

Wireless carrier, Sprint and Softbank(company looking to purchase Sprint), says it will no longer use equipment manufactured by Chinese telecommunications equipment giant, Huawei. The company also said it will replace the existing equipment made by Huawei in data network operator Clearwire, a company that Sprint is buying. Huawei wants to expand its operations, but ties with China’s communist government the company is having a hard time doing so.


Amazon Just Bought THIS Social Company!!!

Amazon announced that it has acquired Goodreads, a site that helps readers and book recommendations find and share books that they love. Goodreads was founded by Otis and Elizabeth Chandler in 2007 and Amazon said the company’s headquarters will remain in San Francisco, CA. The site has over 16 million members and has over 525 books added with 23 million reviews.
