iPhone Jailbreakers shed tears yesterday as pirate app Installous closed its virtual doors yesterday. The dev team Hackulous announced the sad news yesterday on their blog. Installous provided jailbreaker with thousands of pirated Apple apps over the years. The Installous app made it possible for users to download any and every app that was availbable in Apples App store for Free 99. Windows 8 Adoption Approaching 2 Percent
In sad news after a month after its release Windows 8 has reached a whopping 1.72% of all desktop computers, this is all according to data received from NetMarketShare in the month of December. That number may change since the holiday season just passed and i sure more than handful of desktops were bought as gifts. NetMarketShare still believes Windows 7 still has large part desktop shares, accounting for 45% of all windows desktops. Black Ops 2 ‘Revolution’ DLC Dropping This Month
Word is Call of Duty is looking to drop its first DLC pack called Revolution, according to reports the pack should be dropping on January 29, 2013. No word or confirmation from the game maker Activation. The NY Post Says Instagram Losing Accounts and Shows Proof
Last week Friday the NY Post wrote an article about Instagram on how its users are flee the company and deleting their accounts in doves. The NY Post says since they announced the privacy changes and reverted back to the old polices that accounts have dipped since and they have facts to backup their claims with App Data, Apps Data keeps track of Facebook, iPhone and Android app to see how popular the app is. Man Sues Pinterest Says He Came Up With The Idea.
A guy has decided to sue social media company Pinterest, why you may ask. He says he came up with the idea for Pinterest. On Friday Theodore F. Schroeder filed a lawsuit against the company suggesting “alleging misappropriation, unjust enrichment and breach of fiduciary duty against Pinterest”. Pinterest replied by saying “The lawsuit against Pinterest is baseless and we will fight it aggressively,” a spokesman for Pinterest said on Friday.
Tech Talk News: MTA Releases New Subway App, Lets You Know Where The Train Is
The MTA is looking to help New Yorkers out by telling them when exactly their train is coming before they board it, giving them up to the minute reports on when it’s coming. Unfortunately though, it only works for the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 42nd Street Shuttle. The MTA would like to support other trains, but except for the L & 7, it would take “hundreds of millions of dollars & years of dedicated effort” for the rest of them to be upgraded for the app. Good news is that they are releasing the data behind the subway tracking, so companies like Google can plug it into their Maps app for better understanding of where your train is.
