RIM Willing to Pay Android Dev’s Up To $2000 For Ported Apps

  Android devs can make a killing this weekend but porting their apps to RIM can make up to $2000. Rim is calling it a “BlackBerry 10 Last Chance Port-A-Thon” so Android devs looking to make a quiet buck can port their app directly to RIM. How it works For every app approved by RIM by a dev RIM will pay that dev $100 with a max of 20 apps.   The Port-A-Thon started today at noon and will run until the next 36 hours.  This also coincides with RIM’s 15k app submission, so RIM is working around the clock to get things going for BB10 at launch.   YungJohnnybravo x TatWZA


Samsung Galaxy SIV could have eight core 1.8GHz processor

According to AnTuTu benchmark database the bench mark for the Galaxy S IV is running a 1.8GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2.1.(Keylime). The word is the next generation processor is Samsung’s next-generation Exynos 5 Octo processor, which they announced at CES this year. So Far the alleged specs for the SIV is a a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Yungjohnnybravo x TatWZA


App of The Day: Facebook Messenger (With Voice Calling)

Facebook is rolling out a free Calling option for Facebook users with iPhones. The new option would allow Facebook/iPhone users to connect together with the app with voice calls by tap the “i” button in the top right corner, and press “Free Call” the The recipient would get a notification saying a called is being received. This kind of sounds like a a revamped version of Voxer, where users were able to send voice messages. According to Facebook the calls can only be made over wifi. Angry Birds Download 8 Million Times On Christmas

according to  Angry Birds developer Rovio the mobile game was downloaded over 30 million times during the week of Christmas and was download 8 million times on Christmas. Nvidia Announces Project Shied At CES

Chip maker Nvidia announces pre CES that they will be in the gaming business with a device called Project Shield. Nvidia is known for their chip making for smartphones, tablets and desktop PCs. The hardware for the gaming console looks like an portable Xbox 360. The device will be able to run apps like Hulu, Netflix, plays PC games and runs Android game.
