What’s Going ON!!!! Facebook Cuts Off WHAT App!?!?

If you are using MessageMe, a messaging app, you will no longer be able to us the “Find Friends” feature. Facebook cut access to MessageMe because its too similar to its own Messenger app. MessageMe, which only launched last week, says users will no longer be able to search for Facebook friends on MessageMe, doing so will only pull up zero results or show an error message that states, “The operation couldn’t be completed.”

Pebble, the makers of the smart watch, announced that they are releasing their software developer kit in April, but it will only include tools that let developers create “watch faces.” Check out the video below of Eric Migicovsky, the creator of the Pebble watch, updating backers as to the company’s progress.


Dropbox Buys WHAT App Company?!?!

Mailbox mobile app, which only launch a month ago, is being bought by Dropbox. CEO Drew Houston of Drop said, “We felt we could help Mailbox reach a much different audience much faster.” In the deal the 13 employees will go to Dropbox. Dropbox will keep the Mailbox service running, and over time Dropbox will also use Mailbox’s technology to enhance Dropbox features.

DBLCAM by Social Print Studio, is a new app that allows you to Use both cameras on your iPhone to create a single “double-sided” image. Dblcam snaps a photo with the front-facing camera then flips to capture a shot with the back camera. The photos are immediately saved side-by-side as a single image. Swoon is a new Android-based discovery app, created by the social company Tagged, launched today. The concept is of the app is to connect your Facebook profile to the app, and then you’re ready to go. After you are are logged in, you’re presented with cards of different people using the service. Hit the check mark if you would consider meeting them. Hit the X if you want to move on to the next person. If the other person wants to meet you to, Swoon would then connect you both.


RedBox Launches New Streaming?!?

RedBox Instant, a movie streaming site, began offering its services to the public today. RedBox Instant customers will have access to over 35,000 kiosks nationwide that offer newly released DVDs. Also, customers can view over 4,600 streaming titles. For $8 a month, customers can stream movies without a monthly limit and receive four credits to rent DVDs at its kiosks. For $9, customers get streaming and four credits to Blu-ray rentals.RedBox Instant app is open to iOS and Android users, along with those who own a Vizio, LG, Samsung or Google TV products.
