UPDATE: One in Critical Condition from Seton Hall Frat House Shooting

Two men and three women were shot and one critically wounded at a house party. South Orange police said just after midnight the gunshots rang out at a two family home on South Clinton Street, just off South Orange Avenue in East Orange. They said someone couldn’t get into the party, may have gotten angry, left and came back with a gun, opening fire on the victims. A neighbor told CBS 2HD the apartment was rented by three recent graduates of Seton Hall, which is just blocks away, and that they were known to party. CBS 2HD’s Derricke Dennis talked with the lady who lives upstairs. She said they asked her for permission to have the party, as was their wont. It wasn’t clear if the residents of the apartment were among those who were shot, but at least one was in critical condition Saturday morning. We will post more as the story develops. Our prayers are with the victims and their families! PREVIOUSLY: BREAKING NEWS: Four People Shot At Off-Campus Seton Hall University Frat House

Lohan freed from LA jail after posting bail

LOS ANGELES – Lindsay Lohan was freed from a suburban Los Angeles jail late Friday night, well short of the nearly monthlong stay a judge had intended for the actress following a failed drug test. Lohan was freed at about 11:40 p.m. after posting $300,000 bail, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox had ordered Lohan held without bail during a brief hearing Friday morning, But his ruling later was overturned after the “Mean Girls” star’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, filed a late-afternoon appeal seeking bail.
