DJ Reality Show Coming to BET…Check It Out
SMIRNOFF Vodka is launching a new reality television show, Master of the Mix. In a quest to crown the hottest DJ in the world, Master of the Mix is hosting multiple DJs in cities throughout the world to determine the ultimate mix master. Hosted by Grammy nominated producer/DJ, Just Blaze, and world famous DJ, Kid Capri, the show will pit the world’s most prominent DJs against each other in head-to-head competition. The show will air Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET beginning 11/3 on Centric, a 24-hour music and entertainment channel aimed at the African American audience. The show re-airs on Saturday nights at midnight ET on BET.

British Engineer Sentenced to 20 Months in Jail for Spying on Ferrari
It’s been over three years since the start of this whole issue. But while the matter was supposedly closed a year ago, it’s only now that the namesake perpetrator has been sentenced in criminal court. The scandal, for those unfamiliar, centered around Nigel Stepney, a British engineer who defected from Ferrari to McLaren in 2007. Stepney stood accused – and now convicted – of taking trade secrets with him from Maranello to Woking, while sabotaging Ferrari’s team in the process.
President Obama To Host MTV Special
President Barack Obama will take part in a youth town hall special on October 14 called “A Conversation With President Obama.” The interactive one-hour event will air live and commercial-free on MTV, MTVu, BET, Centric, TR3s and CMT at 4 p.m. (ET) and stream live on MTV.com, BET.com and CMT.com. The president will take the stage before an audience of approximately 250 young people representing a broad cross-section of backgrounds, interests and political viewpoints. The show, a production of MTV News and BET News, will be hosted by MTV’s Sway Calloway, BET’s April Woodard and CMT’s Katie Cook.
