Willow Smith is on fire!! The 10 year old pop star not only performed her smash hit “Whip My Hair” at the NAACP Image Awards last night but also took home an award! Willow beat out Nicki Minaj, B.o.B., Bruno Mars, and Jason Durlo to win the Outstanding New Artist award! I’m sure her parents are extremely proud of their daughters success!! @klassic_p It’s Hollywood’s big weekend, but after the celebrations the industry will return to work on Monday in the same cash-strapped state it was in before the Oscars. Many in the business — including Christian Bale — are slowly embracing the fact that China is their new frontier.

@klassic_p People flipped out when Christopher Nolan wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, but it was David Fincher — director of The Social Network — who really got robbed during Sunday night’s Academy Awards ceremony. Instead of rewarding the director of a diamond-flawless piece of innovative pop-cultural art, the Academy gave its imprimatur to the director of a well-mounted but utterly traditional costume drama. Fincher is a director-as-designer — and like any brilliant designer, he seems to attract the most attention for things that don’t work (remember The Curious Case of Benjamin Button?) rather than things that perfectly, seamlessly do. Let’s set the Academy straight.
