Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim was angry and defensive when the allegations of sexual molestation were levied against his longtime associate head coach, Bernie Fine. Â Boeheim lashed out at the accusers. He called them liars and said they were seeking money. Â But Boeheim has gone through a metamorphosis of emotions the past two weeks, and accepted Fine’s firing Sunday night by university chancellor Nancy Cantor. Football Coach Fired On His Way to His Mother’s Funeral!
It came as no surprise late Saturday afternoon that the Akron Zips ended the Rob Ianello era as head football coach after two years and a 2-22 record, including 1-15 in Mid-American Conference play.
