The highly anticipated Chevrolet Camaro Z28, which we caught an early glimpse of this summer, has been shipped off to Germany to be put through its paces on the Nürburgring. Much of the early prototypes’ heavy front cladding has been stripped away and replaced with General Motors’ usual checkerboard camouflage, but we can still see the Z28 upgrades clear as day under all that tape.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been on top of corrosion issues of late, with the recent recall of Toyota Tundra models for excessive frame rust and an investigation of the Ford Windstar for a similar issue. Now it’s Isuzu and Honda’s turn under the rust recall spotlight, as the 1998-2002 Rodeo and 2002 Axiom and the Rodeo’s badge-engineered twin, the 1998-2002 Honda Passport are being recalled in cold weather climates for potential rear suspension corrosion issues.

Mercedes-Benz has made up serious ground in the American luxury market, beating out both BMW and long-reigning Lexus in sales last month. The Silver Arrow saw deliveries climb by 17 percent in the US, up to 19,862 units in September. What’s more, Ernst Lieb, the company’s chief executive officer, said that he expects the Mercedes-Benz market share to continue to grow throughout the remainder of 2010.
