Charlie Sheen recenly gave a little girl by the name of Jasmine Faulk a check for $75,000 to help with her cancer. Well, Stevie Wonder has decided to top that by 25%. Stevie gave Jasmine a check for $100,000. I commend both Charlie and Stevie for such a kind act, BUT why donate to ONE little girl when there is a whole SLEW of people out there with cancer? I hope that this little girl beats this I really do, but I’m sure that there are others out there with cancer who are worst off (financially). In the past, Philly raised rapper, Meek Mill was arrested and went to prison on gun and drug charges. His past is still being held against him. Meek had an appointment with his probation officer that he missed due to Hurricane Sandy (mother natures fault). Because of the flights and everything being closed down he had to DRIVE from NY (where he was at) back to his hometown, but on the way he got pulled over and arrested for tinted windows. Now, what Meek wants to do is get his travel restrictions lifted so that he can make it to his shows, support his family, and make sure that the younger generation sees that you can make it from the hood. Monday is when Meek is suppose to got to court and make his plea. I say let the man TRAVEL! If he wanted to run, he could have been did that. He’s made his way and his past actions are just that. Actually, no. On this thing we call the World Wide Web people love to pretend to be someone that they are not just to make things up. It was no different after the Newton, CT tragedy. Someone took to the Internet and used the likeness of Morgan Freeman to express their views on the Sandy Hook school shooting stating, “You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here’s why. It’s because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities.” In other words Ryan Lanza committed the crime to become a celebrity. PR people for Freeman tells E! News, “Morgan neither made statements or posted those statements. We are trying to find out who did, but they did not originate from him.” So Mr. Freeman has not publicly mentioned anything on the shooting. My P.O.V. Stop blaming the media people!
