BirdmanVEVO In new Birdman/Weezy news, the father of Cash Money gives a little bit of hope to Wayne’s dedicated fans by saying his long overdue album, Tha Carter V, will see the light of day soon.
It’s been exactly two years since Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V was supposed to be released, and it’s still nowhere to be found. Well, that was until this weekend, when infamous P.O.S. pharmaceutical exec Martin Shkreli seemingly got his hands on it! Taking to Periscope, the owner of the 1-of-1 Wu-Tang album promised followers that he had gotten his hands on another elusive hip-hop album, and after a while of teasing and bragging, revealed it was none other than C5. To back up his claims, he previewed some tracks on the live stream…tracks which Wayne’s camp have confirmed to TMZ are the real deal.
Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne’s manager got a chance to stop by ‘Rap Radar’ where he spoke on Wayne’s issues with Cash Money. Bryant reveals that ‘Tha Carter V’ was actually suppose to drop on Google for free but Birdman was the reason that that did not happen.
Lil Wayne recently stated Birdman and Cash Money was the reason that he has not yet released the ‘Carter V.’ Birdman is now speaking out saying that is totally false. Birdman says Wayne is in full possession of the album but does not want to hand it over to CM.
