News that San Francisco’s Frank Gore has a broken right hip means more chances are just ahead. Westbrook rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown in place of the injured Gore, and the 49ers sent punchless Arizona to its sixth straight loss, 27-6 on Monday night in a shower of boos from the Cardinals’ home crowd.


NFL: Texans Andre Johnson & Titans Cortland Finnegan both fined $25k for fight; no suspension

Johnson and Finnegan, both of whom were ejected for their fourth-quarter fight in the Texans’ 20-0 victory, could have been fined and suspended but instead each was fined $25,000.
