Boxing: Holyfield’s fight ruled no-contest after head butt in 3rd round

The 48-year-old Holyfield (43-10-2) was cut in the second round when Williams’ head made contact just above Holyfield’s left eye. The four-time heavyweight champion came out for the third round, and Williams (34-11-2) staggered him with several overhand punches.

Boxing: Roger Mayweather (Floyds uncle & manager) takes plea deal

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s uncle and trainer pleaded no contest Thursday to two misdemeanor battery charges in a plea deal that avoided a trial and jail time in a Las Vegas domestic battery case. Roger Mayweather, 49, was sentenced to a year of probation, 24 weeks of domestic violence counseling, 50 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine for the Aug. 2, 2009, incident.


Cops grill Nascars’ Tony Stewart about alleged fight

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl NASCAR driver Tony Stewart was questioned by police in the Australian city of Sydney Saturday over an alleged physical altercation with the co-owner of a racetrack, racing website SpeedCafe reported. Stewart, in Australia to race for a team owned by speedway legend Garry Rush, reportedly raised issues about the track condition at Sydney Speedway with Brett Morris, co-owner of the track and also a former driver.
